What: A poverty simulation is a fun and easy way to do something about poverty in McPherson County! Up to 100 people can experience what it is like to live in poverty for one month. Each participant will role-play a person experiencing survival mode for one month, simulated in 15-minute weeks. The result is a better understanding of why families on the lower economic scale do the things they do. The simulation is specifically built to be taken into communities and schools to initiate the paradigm shifts necessary to move our community beyond poverty.

When: Thursday, September 3rd at 5:45 PM

Where: First United Methdist Church (1200 E Kansas Ave, McPherson) - park in the east parking lot and enter through the east doors into the SERVE Center behind the sanctuary.

What to Bring: Yourself, and a willingness to learn.
